WALBRIDGE, Ohio ( WTVG /Gray News) - An Ohio couple called 911 on a police officer who allegedly responded to their house while intoxicated. They are now sharing their experience and video footage of the incident, saying it was one of the most bizarre things they have ever seen.

When a couple in Walbridge returned home from a night out Aug. 23, they found their truck door open. Fearing they had been robbed or someone could be in their home, they called police.

Officer Michael Ervin with the Village of Walbridge Police Department responded to the scene just before midnight. The couple, who asked to be identified as Mr. Brand and Mrs. Lewis, say they could immediately tell something was off.

“He was just standing in the street, staring at us, watching me talk on the phone,” Lewis said
