Suffolk police have identified a pedestrian killed by a hit-and-run driver in Manorville Sunday night as Michael Barnhardt, 54.

Barnhardt, a Manorville resident, was crossing County Route 111 north of Chapman Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that fled north, police said in a news release.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
