PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After an active evening of storms in the Valley , temperatures in the 80s this morning will warm to about 108 this afternoon. That’s four degrees above average for this time of year in Phoenix and will mark our hottest day this week.

Storm chances are near about 10% today in the Valley. They climb only slightly tomorrow before ramping up to about 30% for Thursday and Friday. A southeasterly flow of moisture is bringing in decent monsoon storm fuel, but cloud cover this morning could squash chances for the Valley today.

Although monsoon moisture looks to increase later this week, there is still some decent uncertainty with how much storm activity we’ll get. Tropical Storm Lorena is expected to form this week, pushing moisture into the Baja Peninsula and eventually
