UPDATE 9:46 A.M. SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has released more details after a person was found deceased on the Skyway Bridge in Manatee County on September 2.

FHP said Troopers responded to the South Fishing Pier of the Skyway Bridge around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday. At the scene, a 41-year-old man was found dead inside a parked Chevrolet SUV.

No other injuries have currently been reported.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
