Rhode Islanders with fond memories of longtime Providence Municipal Court Chief Judge Frank Caprio , who died Aug. 20, are being invited to sign a memorial condolence book at the State House.
Caprio's portrait will also be on display in the State House rotunda, according to Gov. Dan McKee 's office.
Members of the public can sign the guest book and share messages of condolences.
The tribute will take place from Tuesday, September 2, at 12:30 p.m. until Friday, September 5, until 4:30 p.m.
“Judge Caprio was more than a jurist– he was a symbol of compassion and humanity whose empathy on the bench touched lives across Rhode Island and around the world,” McKee said in a statement. “As we continue to mourn the passing of this extraordinary man, I invite all Rhode Islanders to visit the
