(Licking, MO) — The Missouri State Forest Nursery is now taking orders for low-cost tree & shrub seedlings. Nursery Supervisor Mike Fianoni says they have nearly 70 species this year. He says they’ve brought back another option too, bundles of specific trees designed to produce fruit or nuts and attract wildlife, including pollinators. He says the program’s ideal for someone with a large acreage but individual homeowners can also take advantage of it and share seedlings with their neighbors.

Seedlings are available in bundles of 10 or increments of 25 per species. Prices range from 40 cents to $1.17 per seedling, plus sales tax unless tax exempt. There is a shipping fee and a $9 handling charge for each order. The MDC offers a 15% discount up to $20 off seedling orders with a Conserv
