SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Eden Gardens High School class of 1970 never got the chance to graduate from the school they called home.

Just weeks before their senior year ended, they were moved to Captain Shreve as part of integration. They finished out their education there, but always felt like something was missing.

On Aug. 20, 2025, that chapter finally closed.

As part of their class reunion, dozens of former students are gathered at Caddo Middle Magnet on the same grounds where Eden Gardens once stood.

After decades of pushing to be recognized, they were presented with diplomas from Eden Gardens High School.
