Stormont Vail Health announced Monday morning that the healthcare provider is the $1.5 million anonymous donor contributing to improvements to the DeBauge Sports Complex.

According to a written release, DeBauge Family Soccer Complex and the Jones Family Aquatic Center will be referred to under a combined name: Stormont Vail Health Sports Complex, while also keeping their individual names. The funds will contribute to both facilities over the span of ten years.

The City Commission will consider approving the contract during its Wednesday meeting. The DeBauge Sports Complex project will be funded by $1.5 million from the Emporia Recreation Commission, $1.5 million from a potential CDBG grant, and the donation from Stormont.
