A Brundidge man has been arrested and charged with identity theft and theft of property.

Auburn Police say twenty-two-year-old Dequavius Quendez Coleman of Brundidge, Alabama, was arrested on felony warrants last Thursday, August 28th.

According to police, the arrest stems from a report of a forged check in September 2024. According to a complaint, the forged check used information from an account associated with an Auburn business. The fraudulent check was deposited into an account by an unknown suspect.

During the investigation, Coleman became the suspect and warrants were issued in October 2024. Coleman also had outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions related to similar criminal activity.
