A Carnegie man crashed into two police vehicles while fleeing apprehension Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Adams Township, according to charges filed last week.

Matthew Richard Thompson, 35, was charged with one felony count each of aggravated assault, escape and flight; two misdemeanor counts of accident involving damage and misdemeanor fleeing police following the incident.

Adams Township police were requested to assist Northern Regional police and Castle Shannon police in locating Thompson, who had been spotted earlier in the day. Police suspected Thompson of being armed.
