LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The University of Kentucky student accused of concealing the birth of her infant bonded out of jail on Monday.

Court documents show that Laken Snelling was released just after 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 after posting a surety bond. The conditions include no further violations of the law, as well as home incarceration with her parents and without an ankle monitor.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 27, Lexington police said they were called to a home in the 400 block of Park Avenue regarding an unresponsive infant found inside a closet.

Snelling reportedly told authorities she gave birth and cleaned up any indication that she had. She was then said to have wrapped the baby in a towel before putting it in a black trash bag, along with the cleaning items used, inside her closet.
