MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Mission Police Department is investigating a fatal rollover crash that took place on Labor Day.

According to Mission PD, Public Information Officer Art Flores, the crash took place at 9:32 p.m.

Flores stated, a 24-year-old man driving a red Avalanche hit a parked car at the 100 block of Slabough Avenue. His vehicle rolled over and he was ejected from the car.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is under investigation.

The cause of the crash has not been determined, but authorities believe speed may have been a factor, Flored added.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
