Kroger Co. is betting big on Dallas-Fort Worth, investing about $160 million in four new stores across the Metroplex.

The first of those stores is set to open this fall at 113 E. Bonds Ranch Road in Fort Worth. In June, Kroger began construction on another Cowtown store at Sendera Ranch Boulevard and Rancho Canyon Way, expected to open next year. Both stores will be the first major grocery options for new neighborhoods around Haslet and southeast Wise County, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram .
