A Paisley woman who walked 68 miles to raise funds for an addiction charity has stressed the importance of giving people hope.
Eva Penaranda, who lives in the town, recently undertook the challenge of completing the full length of the Borders Abbeys Walk in a bid to raise vital funds for Street Connect as part of a pilgrimage.
Eva was joined by friends along the rain-lashed route including St Mirren Women’s head coach Kate Cooper.
And she says the reason she chose to help the charity – where she is a volunteer – was because of past connections of knowing people who were supported by the service.
