The Calgary Flames are reportedly close to locking down one of their most important young players.
Negotiations between the Flames and forward Connor Zary have taken quite a bit longer than a lot expected, but it finally sounds like the two sides are closing in on an agreement. The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta reported on Tuesday morning that the Flames are closing in on a three-year deal with the 23-year-old.
Zary was an RFA this summer and is coming off his second season in the NHL.
