An explosion rocked a house in Dartmouth at Sagamore Drive early morning Tuesday.

A neighbor's security camera caught the massive explosion around 1 a.m.

A witness said some debris blown from the house appeared to be fireworks.

DARTMOUTH — State and local fire officials were still on the scene this afternoon of an early morning explosion and fire in a Dartmouth home that destroyed the garage and left the home a total loss. The cause’s investigation is ongoing.

A woman and two children escaped unharmed, but a man was burned and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, said Fire Chief Timothy Lancaster. At least one of the family’s three pet dogs was killed.
