Any hope that Donald Trump and his inner circle may have had about dispelling rumors about his health suffered a setback on Tuesday morning after the president was interviewed by conservative CNN contributor Scott Jennings.
In a snippet of the interview Jennings posted to X, the president sounds nasal and congested as he complained about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump can be heard stating, “Very disappointed. Thousands of people are dying. They're not Americans that are dying, but they're Russians and they're Ukrainians, and there's thousands, and it's a war that makes no sense,” but his voice sounds muffled and raspy, like he might have a head cold.
While it’s possible it was a bad connection, commenters on X — including some of his supporters — wondered if maybe the rumors of deteriorating health, which have dogged the president throughout the Labor Day weekend, were true.
In the comments to the video, which can be viewed below, an X user named Mason, who retweets white supremacist Nick Fuentes, pointed out, “He sounds like he’s dying.”
Another Fuentes fan, @1stclassclips, added, “What is going on with the president's health?”
“President sounds sick, is he even alive?” Silencer Groyper asked.
Jen, a fan of MAHA, added a sad-face emoji and commented, “He sounds unwell.”
“Is nobody going to mention how groggy and off his voice sounds here? Couple that with all the weirdness of him being MIA for seven days now?” Dean asked.
