LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has announced the statewide launch of its Bed Management Tool, a digital platform designed to strengthen coordination of youth placements within the juvenile justice system.
Developed in partnership with the University of Michigan’s Child and Adolescent Data Lab, the tool was created in response to the growing need for efficient, data-driven decision-making in youth placement and treatment.
By offering a centralized, interactive dashboard, the tool provides real-time information on available juvenile justice beds across the state.
This reduces delays, eases administrative burden, and helps ensure youth receive timely and appropriate care.
