PHOENIX – The Powerball jackpot has ballooned to an estimated $1.3 billion after going unclaimed over Labor Day weekend.
However, eight Arizona tickets were close enough over the last two drawings to generate prizes of at least $50,000.
On Saturday, tickets from the following five Arizona locations matched four of the five white balls — 3, 18, 22, 27 and 33 — plus the red Powerball of 17 to win $50,000: • Terrible’s at 1040 S. Acoma Blvd. in Lake Havasu City. • Fry’s Fuel Center at 2915 N. Dysart Road in Avondale. • Walmart at 13770 W. Bell Road in Surprise. • Fry’s Food Store at 3616 E. Ray Road in Phoenix. • Bashas’ at 15367 W. Waddell Road in Surprise.
