A man punched and strangled a “family friend” in her Steelton home overnight Sunday, police said in court documents.

Steelton police said they found the victim with a black and blue eye and a swollen, possibly broken nose at about 1:18 a.m. on North Front Street.

Court documents said the woman told police her son let their family friend, Brett Burney, 47, of Steelton, into their house.
