How could a “match made in heaven” turn into two funerals?

A pair of devastated families ricochet between grief and anger as they try to make sense of the North Scottsdale murders of a loving young couple that seemed to have bright decades before them.

The emotions often feel like too much to handle, in the wake of the June 30 double murder in a quiet neighborhood.

After 21-year-old Nadia Mysliwiec and her fiancé Ramon Moraga, 20, were shot dead, Nadia’s mother, Brandy Perry, called the Scottsdale Police Department’s homicide unit every day.

“I was uncertain the police (were) actually actively working on who did this at the time,” Perry said.

“Det. (Keith) Myers kept contact but always said, ‘Ms. Perry we are working this case diligently and I want to assure you that we have leads.’ T
