A flight from San Francisco to Baltimore returned to San Francisco International Airport on Tuesday due to the crew smelling burning plastic in the cabin, according to United Airlines.
United Flight 2664, which was scheduled to arrive at BWI Marshall Airport at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, was canceled and passengers were removed from the plane after it returned to the gate, according to United Airlines.
According to FlightAware, the Boeing 737-MAX-9 had taken off from San Francisco at 9:47 a.m. PDT before turning around and landing back in San Francisco at 11:07 a.m. The flight had 164 passengers and eight crew members.
