Man opened fire in dispute outside deli on S.I. He pays the price at sentencing

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Mariners Harbor man charged in a shooting last year outside a local deli was sentenced on Tuesday.

Markeim Henry, 38, of Grandview Avenue, was sentenced in state Supreme Court, St. George, to nine-and-a-half years in prison in connection with the July 17, 2024, incident. He pleaded guilty recently to attempted assault with a weapon to resolve the case.
