The Cornwall Wildcats National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) teams played their first home games of the season on Monday, with a full slate against the Cumberland Panthers. Article content

Teams in the U10, U12, U14 and U16 categories took to the field in front of packed bleachers as the community came out to support the Wildcats. Article content Article content

The U10 (tyke) teams kicked off the day, with the Wildcats falling behind Cumberland and losing 26-8 against the Panthers . The U12 (mosquito) Wildcats took on the hardest loss of the day, ending their game with a stinging 68-12 loss to the Panthers .

“They played a really good Cumberland team,” said Wildcats club president Kirby Camplin. “They’ll be a good team moving forward.”
