Alterations have been made to the way the Winter Fuel Payment works, meaning more people will get the benefit.

If you were born before September 22, 1959 you could get assistance paying your heating bills for winter 2025 to 2026, reports MirrorOnline.

According to GOV.UK, around 9 million pensioners will receive Winter Fuel Payments in 2025.
