COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Police have arrested a 20-year-old in connection with a deadly shooting at Virginia Arms apartments on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Columbus.

The shooting happened around 3:08 p.m. Friday. Officers say 17-year-old Victor Hinton was shot in the head inside an apartment and later died.

Police arrested 20-year-old Antoine Finch, who is charged with reckless conduct and involuntary manslaughter in Hinton’s death. Finch is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.

Investigators have not said exactly what led up to the shooting but did say several people were inside the apartment when it happened.

The investigation is ongoing.
