A 24-year-old man driving a red sports car was clocked speeding more than 130 mph over the holiday weekend, according to police.

Haverhill man Joseph Cummings was arrested in New Hampshire and charged with reckless driving.

Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit and the Troop B barracks on Labor Day conducted a high-visibility enforcement effort using the State Police aircraft on I-93 in Salem and I-89 in Sunapee.

During the patrols, troopers conducted 104 traffic stops. Of these stops, 48 drivers were spotted speeding 90 mph or faster, and nine drivers were reportedly seen driving recklessly at 100 mph or faster.

That included Cummings, according to police.
