Harris County area law-agencies announced the arrests of 274 motorists for reportedly driving under the influence during the Labor Day weekend.
The arrests was a part of a special initiative to crack down on impaired driving during what is traditionally the “Last Hurrah,” one of the most dangerous weekends of the year.
“We are grateful that no one was killed by a drunk driver, and all law-enforcement officers made it safely back to their families,” Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen said Tuesday. “Harris County remains ground zero for drunk driving in Texas and we must continue to do more to change that.”
