PHILADELPHIA (WPHL) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have issued a travel advisory ahead of Thursday's home opener against the Dallas Cowboys, since new state funding for SEPTA has not been approved yet.
Even with the restoration of select bus routes and the pause on a fare increase and Regional Rail cuts, the lack of funding will impact the usual gameday experience in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The Broad Street Line's special Sports Express has been eliminated, and 20% service cuts are still in effect for bus and metro service.
The team is advising fans to arrive early and allow for extra time when traveling to Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is at 8:20 p.m. and fans are encouraged to be inside the stadium by 7:45 p.m.
