ALAMOSA, Colo. (KKTV) - Barry Morphew, a man accused of killing his wife, appeared in court Tuesday, where his attorneys asked the judge to reduce his bond.

Morphew is currently facing a murder charge for a second time, tied to the death of his wife, Suzanne Morphew. She went missing in May 2020 from their Chaffee County home. In May 2021, Barry Morphew was arrested and charged with murder. In April 2022, that case was dismissed. In September 2023, Suzanne’s remains were found about 50 miles south of the Morphew home.

In June, a grand jury returned an indictment to charge Barry Morphew with murder. In the indictment, a subject matter expert opined that Suzanne Morphew’s remains had been relocated at some point leading up to them being discovered based on their condition.
