College of Southern Idaho volleyball is off to a hot start, and NJCAA Division I poll voters are taking notice.

The Golden Eagles are ranked No. 7 in this week's poll after starting the season outside the top 20. Fellow Scenic West Athletic Conference members Utah State University Eastern and Salt Lake Community College were ranked No. 4 and No. 8, respectively.

CSI (6-2) is coming off a 4-0 weekend at the SLCC Crystal "Inn"vitational.

The Golden Eagles started their run in Salt Lake by beating three-time defending national champion Florida Southwestern State in five sets. They followed that by sweeping Eastern Florida State, Central Wyoming and Western Wyoming.
