SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Football season is back at the JMA Wireless Dome, but this year, the first challenge won't be on the field. It's the drive just to get there.

As part of the I-81 Viaduct Project, some of the most familiar routes fans have taken for years will be permanently closed. That includes Fineview Place, Renwick Avenue, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance.

"That happened as part of the Project," said Pete Sala, SU's Vice President & Chief Facilities Officer. "It will get deeper into it as we move forward through the year, but probably the football season will stay with the changes that people will encounter as they come into this game."
