LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Three people were arrested Tuesday after a robbery in Lincoln’s Near South neighborhood.
Just before 8 a.m., a 44-year-old Lincoln man reported that he had been robbed of his car and phone near 19th and Garfield streets.
Police think the suspects assaulted the man, causing injuries to his head and neck.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers found the vehicle about 10 minutes later near 56th and Van Dorn streets, but no one was inside.
Witnesses told police that two people arrived in the car, then ran into a nearby home.
Officers detained several people at the home, according to LPD.
Police arrested 26-year-old Gabriel Olivas and 36-year-old Jesse Robles were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
