People may not cry over spilled milk, but you get a different reaction when it’s whisky.

Premier Doug Ford served a stiff drink Tuesday in which the hangover may be felt for years. Ontario’s top politician not only dumped booze, but dropped the gloves, too.

“You hurt my people,” Ford said of Debra Crew, the France-based CEO of Diageo, which makes Crown Royal Canadian whisky. “I hurt you.”

Ouch! This was a liquor-infused bar fight heard across the globe.

Ford was reacting to Diageo’s decision to shutter its Amherstburg, Ont., plant. The company last week announced it was shifting some operations to the United States to improve its supply chain.
