Wilyer Abreu still had not run on Tuesday, but the Red Sox don’t consider it a cause for concern, his manager reiterated pregame.

“He hasn’t run, he’s not running today either,” Cora said. “Just progressing slowly. Not the way we envisioned when the injury happened. So we just have to be patient. It’s not a setback. It’s just like, it’s not getting better.”

The Red Sox have now pushed their ‘24 Gold Glove right-fielder’s return – and the necessary rehab exercises – back several times. He was scheduled to run prior to Monday’s game. It was then pushed to Tuesday.
