EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- One teenage girl was arrested and another teen girl was referred to juvenile justice authorities after what Alamogordo Police are calling "altercations" on Friday, Aug. 29 during the Alamogordo High School varsity football game.

A 14-year-old girl was arrested for battery upon a peace officer and resisting and obstructing an officer, Alamogordo Police said.

A 15-year-old girl was referred to Juvenile Probation and Parole for public affray and resisting or obstructing an officer, Alamogordo Police said.

The incidents led to the evacuation of Friday's football game, police said.

Police said they became aware of potential threats that were connected to altercations at the football game. Those threats are under investigation, police said.
