PORTLAND, Maine — Talk of a tuberculosis outbreak spread over the weekend after The Maine Wire published an article last Friday claiming that there is an ongoing tuberculosis outbreak happening at the City of Portland's migrant shelter, but representatives from the Maine CDC and several others confirm that there is no known tuberculosis outbreak at this time in the Greater Portland area.

NEWS CENTER Maine reached out to the Maine CDC, the City of Portland, MaineHealth, and representatives from the Maine Public Health Association; representatives from each said they haven't heard of or received any information about a potential TB outbreak.
