The match between San Diego State and USD wasn’t the only college soccer game played at Snapdragon Stadium during the past week.
The SDSU women (1-2-1) played UC San Diego (1-1-2) to a scoreless tie Saturday night before a San Diego State program-record crowd of 2,593. Goalies Kailey Carlen (SDSU0) and Charlotte Wilfert (UCSD) combined to make eight saves.
Meanwhile, the University of San Diego women’s soccer team defeated Cal State Northridge 3-1 at home Sunday night to remain unbeaten (1-0-3) after four games for the first time in 15 seasons. Sophomore defender Ella Callanan scored a goal and had an assist for the Toreros.
