BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) — Buckeye police say a man has been arrested after he shot another man who was inside an SUV with a woman he met online in a neighborhood early Tuesday.

According to authorities, officers were tipped off about shots fired near Maricopa Road and Sunset Point Boulevard , which is northwest of Baseline and Miller roads, around 1 a.m.

Investigators learned that the victim said he was inside his SUV with a woman whom he had met online when a man walked up and started shooting.

At that point, police said the woman got out of the SUV, and the victim drove off to call 911 before he was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives believe the suspect was a man in his 20s who had been living with the woman. He was interviewed and later arrested on charges
