A move to the bullpen was no issue for Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Trey Yesavage on Tuesday night.

Yesavage worked three scoreless innings for the triple-A Buffalo Bisons, tossing 54 pitches and 35 strikes on his way to six strikeouts in relief of opener Paxton Schultz against the Syracuse Mets. He also allowed just two hits and one walk.

Toronto’s 2024 first-round pick kept a veteran Syracuse lineup off balance with a three-pitch mix, using his fastball, splitter and slider to navigate his fourth triple-A outing. Yesavage averaged 93.7 m.p.h. with his heater and got five swings and misses with his splitter in the game.
