ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Many families are still preparing for the start of a new school year, and the community has stepped up to make the transition a little smoother.
SkeeDaB's Barber Parlor partnered with local organizations for a back-to-school drive on Tuesday. The event offered free haircuts for K-8 students, handed out backpacks, and provided food, drinks, music and fun.
Organizers said it helps kids feel confident and ready for the new school year.
