Farmworkers and community advocates marched through downtown Los Olivos on Saturday ahead of Labor Day, demanding living wages and safe working conditions in Santa Barbara County’s wine industry.

Organized by Alianza Campesina in partnership with CAUSE (Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy) and MICOP (Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project), the march highlighted longstanding tensions between labor groups and growers over pay.
