NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The City of Lights is shining brighter than ever after the Northwestern State University Demons defeated the Alcorn State University Braves in the first game of the season, 20-to-10.

“It’s great. Seeing the community respond to us the way they do. I mean, they’re always rooting us on. Everybody’s always having high energy. It really is a great atmosphere,” shared Rory Lambert, an NSU freshman majoring in Business Administration.

The victory on August 28 marks a significant milestone for the Demons, securing their first win since November 5, 2022.
