CHICAGO (WLS) -- E-bikes and e-scooters have become increasingly popular for quick transportation, especially among young teens, but questions over safety have led some cities to approve new regulations.
In the city of Chicago, e-scooter and e-bike sharing programs are popular, and some people are buying their own. Chicago requires riders to be at least 18, or 16 years old with guardian consent, and you're not allowed to ride them on sidewalks.
