WESH 2 has learned that Orlando City Soccer Club filed on Friday a formal complaint to the Leagues Cup organizers regarding the officiating of its semifinal game against Inter Miami.

The Lions lost that Aug. 27 match 3-1 amid controversial refereeing that went both ways, but eventually saw Orlando reduced to 10 players in the second half when David Brekalo was sent off in a penalty call. Latest Forecast

Orlando City defender and captain Robin Jansson was also shown a straight red following the final whistle when Jansson allegedly verbally insulted the match officials, according to the Leagues Cup disciplinary committee.

Jansson’s red card was appealed by the team, but it was not successful.
