The attorneys representing the family of a Baltimore man who died in police custody in June are seeking legal action.

Dontae Melton Jr., 31, died while in Baltimore police custody on June 24, at the intersection of West Franklin Street and North Franklintown Road. Last week, the chief medical examiner’s office ruled Melton’s death a homicide.

The Maryland attorney general’s office released body-worn camera footage that showed Melton and police waiting nearly an hour for medics who never arrived.
