Police have uncovered what are believed to be human remains as part of their investigations into the disappearance of Queensland man Andrew Burow.
The family of the 56-year-old Kelvin Grove man has been contacted, although the remains are yet to be formally identified.
Investigators made the discovery at Maidenwell, a rural town in the South Burnett region about 20 minutes south west of Nanango.
A crime scene has been established, along with another scene in bushland along the D'Aguilar Highway near Moore, in the Somerset Region.
Investigations are ongoing
Three crimes scenes were established on the Sunshine Coast last week as part of the investigation.
Two men faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with the alleged torture of Mr Burow.
The men remain in custody.
