LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A South Louisville ministry has been working to feed hungry Kentuckians for decades and said that need is growing.

Feeding Kentucky said nearly 700,000 Kentuckians struggle with hunger in the commonwealth.

Isabel Mauriz works hard to provide for her family. To help ends meet, she comes to the food pantry inside South Louisville Community Ministries once a month.

“For me, it’s very, very helpful, now that things are so expensive," Mauriz said. "I come every month and also for the supplies, cleaning supplies. It helps."
