A 22-year-old college student in Utah has died after falling from a fifth-floor balcony over Labor Day weekend, police said.

Utah Tech University's Police Department responded to a 911 call around 5:42 p.m. local time on Sunday, Aug. 31, police said in a statement shared with PEOPLE by a university spokesperson. The call came from outside of the university's student housing.
