Cyber attacks are, concerningly, becoming more and more common, and it seems another huge global company has fallen victim to an assault.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is the company in question, after it said its production and sales have been "severely disrupted" following a major cyber attack .
The car manufacturer, owned by India’s Tata Motors, shut down systems after becoming aware of issues affecting its global operations. JLR has no sites in Scotland but has two showrooms in Edinburgh and Stirling.
JLR insisted it is "working at pace" to get its operations back on the go across its retail and production sites.
In the meantime, the company stressed there is currently "no evidence" that any customer data has been stolen in the attack.
